WHAT TO EXPECT

4 STEPS IN COMPLETING YOUR DUNK

STEP 1. INITIAL SIGN IN AND WEIGH IN

We will have you complete our Dunk form and gather basic information from your 'dry weight' before being dunked.

STEP 2. GET INTO THE TANK

We highly recommend wearing your bathing suit underneath your cloths. We will provide you with a robe, slippers, and a hair cap prior to your Dunk (please bring your own towel). Once in the Dunk Room, you will step into the dunk tank and grab hold of the rack as directed. Your Dunk Specialist will be there to guide you every step of the way.

STEP 3. EXHALE AND SUBMERGE

You will blow out all the air in your lungs as you are very briefly submerged under warm shallow water.

If at any time you do not feel comfortable, simply rise up and we will re-do the submersion when you feel completely relaxed.

You will be asked to submerge 3 times to ensure maximum accuracy of the results.

STEP 4. REVIEW YOUR RESULTS

After you Dunk, you will head back into the consultation room to review your 8-page customized Dunk Report. The report will detail your fitness blueprint to achieving your fitness and wellness goals including caloric needs, burn and cardio zones, exercise recommendations for maximum output, and much more.

FAQ ABOUT DUNKING

What should I wear?

Try to wear something snug fitting such as a swimsuit, bike shorts, sports bra, or speedo etc. We will provide a robe, slippers, and hair net but we do ask that you bring your own towel. There is a changing area right next to our dunk room and also a shower for after your Dunk.

Can I eat or drink prior to the test?

While it has no effect on the outcome of your dunk, it is recommended that you give yourself at least 2 hours after a large meal if possible. This will allow for better breathing during your dunk. As for drinking, just try to stay hydrated at your usual level.

Can I workout prior to my dunk?

Yes, however it is recommended that you give yourself at least 45-60 minutes of cool-down time prior to testing. It is ideal to have your heart rate at or about near your resting level. For optimal results, we recommend testing early in the morning prior to a workout.

Is the water in the tank clean?

The water is continuously filtered and chlorinated for superior cleanliness. It has the same filtration system as a hot tub.

Can I be on my menstrual cycle?

No, we recommend waiting till after your menstrual cycle ends for the most accurate results possible. Dunking while on your cycle can provide false information on your body fat and lean mass measurements.

Is the water cold?

We keep the water at a very warm comfortable temperature around 93 degrees.
